2. Recertify Fields on COE
Each year, recruiter needs to contact family member or youth enrolled in MEP to: 1. Verify that family and/or youth is still in area; 2. To verify that information in MERIL is correct; 3. To determine if a new move has occurred. If so, a new COE would be completed.

4. Residency Verification Date
This field is used to indicate when a child or youth’s residency in the district has been verified prior to adding a new enrollment period. 1. Can use date on completed mass enrollment form; 2. Re-enrollment date of district student reporting system; and/or 3. Re-certify date from signature panel on COE (if during right time- frame). A new enrollment period cannot be created unless a child or youth’s residency has been verified.
