7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

I’d like to be humble
I’d like to mourn

I’d like to not be angry

5. What am I asking for?
As Baptised Christian Disciples we resolve, by God’s grace:
* to die to the sins that separate us from the love of God our Father (What?)
* to live as those who are forgiven & as those who forgive, because Jesus is our Saviour (What?, Who?)
* to be immersed in the Holy Spirit so that we live generously, because Jesus is our Lord (What Fruit?)
* to live prayerfully, bearing witness to others, frequently reading the bible (When?, Who?)
As Formal Members of this Church we covenant together
* to meet regularly for prayer and worship with each other
* to give and receive care and support in our relationships with each other (Who?)
* to give of our time, talent and money to serve the church and the community (What?)
* to discern together God’s will for us (When?)

7. 11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
