5. Background
The Battle of Jutland was between the British Grand Fleet and the German High Seas Fleet on the 31st May 1916 in the North Sea.
It was the only major naval battle of World War I
Jutland became the largest sea battle in naval warfare history, bringing together the two most powerful navels of the time.

6. At Jutland the British Navy lost more men and ships than Germany, but the German Navy lost and was never in a position again to put to sea during the war.

After the battle the British Navy remained a powerful fighting force whereas the German High Seas fleet was not.
