Presentation on theme: "New bellringer policy…"— Presentation transcript:

1 New bellringer policy…
We will use BR grids from now on, not notebooks. You will turn in your BR grid to your class’s BR folder in the back of the class at the end of each week.

2 Student presentations!
Middle East & Asia Student presentations!

3 Moving on… We’ve seen how European powers had the means and motives to begin exploring the globe in ways other world powers did not. How did European powers affect change in the New World? Next, we’ll see how European powers did (or did not, in some cases) affect change in the Middle East and Asia. You will be grouped and put in charge of presenting one empire’s story to the class.

4 Why are we doing this? Research shows that you only really learn 5-10% of what I simply say to you. You retain 90% of what you teach others, though! You will be separated into groups and made responsible for one empire. You will teach this topic to the class through a presentation. This is also your chance to experience how difficult but oh so rewarding it is to teach others! 

5 Go through requirements
Save your questions for after we read through the requirements. No interrupting, please! So you don’t forget your questions, write them in the “Questions you have” box on your handout. I’ll assign groups and sections after we read the requirements. Guidelines Timeline Tips Rubric
