2 Agenda Current Position Next Steps Schedule Communications Approach

3 IX Network Current Position
As identified last month work has been ongoing to remove potential shipper impacts and future site visits, solutions have been identified for most areas. We have undertaken a desktop exercise which has removed most of the concerns around file structures and co-existence of file transfer mechanism although this needs to be proven in a networked test environment as part of the next phase There is a remaining challenge in keeping the existing log file structure which is being investigated to continue the theme of no end user impacts We would like to understand the impacts of having two log files to review or a single log file that was updated less frequently

4 IX Network Proposed Next Steps
Complete analysis phase - ongoing An extended Proof of Concept (PoC) to prove the appropriate end user solution. – May–July Internally test that the proposed solution is fit for purpose for the end user estate. - July Roll out this solution to a single IX end user and refresh them onto the new IX Network to prove the solution in the live environment. – July Conduct a ‘Pilot’ where 3 external IX end users are refreshed onto the new Network. This will validate that the planned refresh activities developed by Cable and Wireless Worldwide are valid. - August Commence with the rollout to all IX end user sites. – August All of these dates are predicated upon a successful test phase.

5 Schedule Xoserve propose to commence the rollout in Scotland and in Tyne and Wear first and then work their way down the country. This rollout will take account of any freeze periods that you have identified through previous communications This is an amendment to previous plans but will minimise delays to the rollout based on IT and Network freezes put in place by the government for the Olympics and Paralympics.

6 Roll Out Communications Approach
You will be contacted by the Xoserve Customer Lifecycle Team to alert you to the tranche you are in and the timeframe that is being proposed for your site/s Cable and Wireless Worldwide will then contact your nominated technical contact to arrange the specific date and details of the cutover to the new network and equipment
