2. 2019 Prom February 28, 2019, is the last day to buy Prom tickets
Prom tickets are $130 and can be purchased online at myschoolbucks.com or with Mrs. Burton in the front office

3. The Book Club meets Monday and Tuesday

4. Printing from Chromebooks
Students are only able to print from their Chromebooks at this time
Students will need to deposit a minimum of $1 to set up a printing account
Any questions, please see M. Daniels in the library

5. Attention 9th Grade Students
Please be sure to charge your Chromebook over night so that you will be ready for classes the next day

6. Gay Straight Alliance
The Gay – Straight Alliance will be on Fridays from 3:30-4:30 in room 219

7. Dance Team Interest Meeting
The Dance Team interest meeting will be held February 28th in the Media Center
There are big changes happening in dance, so get the information first hand by attending the meeting on February 28th

8. Dutchtown Dance Starz
Dutchtown Starz will be having their 2nd annual United We Dance Spring Showcase on March 16, 2019
Doors open at 6:30pm

9. Morehouse College and Spelman College
There will be a college tour to Morehouse and Spelman colleges on February 28th
Learn about college options
Cost is $30 which includes lunch
Payment in cash or money order with permission slips are to be given to Mr. Westry in the counseling office
Must be passing all classes

10. Work Based Learning
Attention rising 11th and 12th Grade Students, if you are interested in work- based learning for next school year, pick up an application in the counselor’s office or from Mrs. Walcott’s room 407
Deadline is March 15th

11. February Beta Club
National Beta Club will be hosting their First Shoe Drive from February 1st to February 28th
Please disinfect and donate your used shoes to support the cause
All shoes donated will be sent to children in Africa
Our goal is to donate150 shoes

12. Attention Students taking AP Exam
If you are taking an AP exam in May, you must register for the exam by March 15, 2019
Please pick up registration forms from your AP teacher, the counseling center or the main office
Payment options are cash, money order or pay directly using myschoolbucks.com
All exam fees are due by March 15, 2019

Perform a poem or other written work during lunch on February 25th

February 28th, Students showcase their African American Art Pieces
Students, display your art or perform a music piece during lunch

16. Florida A&M University (FAMU) College Tour
The FAMU Atlanta Alumni Chapter is sponsoring a Spring Preview College Tour to FAMU on Friday March 29th – March 30th
The cost of the tour is $150 which includes transportation, hotel, and most meals
Information on this tour can be found in the counseling office

17. The Spring ASVAB Test
The Spring ASVAB Test will be administered on Mach 13th from 9am-12pm
Sign up is in the counseling office

18. Rising 10th-12th Grade Parent Night
The rising 10th-12th Grade parent night will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00pm in the DHS Commons
Registration and classes for the school year will be discussed at this meeting
