Martin meets Jean Carrack in Madrid but she claims that the briefcase is gone. He is then shot by a sniper working for Jean. Will hides after taking his father’s cell phone. The kidnappers contact Will and tell him that he has 21 hours to bring them the briefcase. In the call history, Will finds the name Diego Caldera but the call is answered by Lucia Caldera, his niece. When Will and Lucia arrive at Caldera’s apartment, they find him dead and they also bump

Just as Carrack is about to shoot Will, she is shot by a sniper, and Zahir retrieves the briefcase. Lucia recovers in hospital and Will is offered a job in the CIA; whether he accepts or not, we don’t know. The CIA refuses to reveal the contents of the briefcase to Will.
