THE FATHER’S DAY CALL TO WORSHIP
[ Pastor / CONGREGATION] Blessed is the man WHO DOES NOT GIVE IN to the influences of evil, WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW after the methods OF THOSE WHO OFFEND GOD, who does not associate WITH THOSE WHO RIDICULE OTHERS.
10
Blessed is the man who chooses
TO FOLLOW AFTER GOD for he will find peace IN FULFILLING that which God expects. ON GOD’S ORDINANCES, the man of God always meditates. THE MAN WHO FOLLOWS the ways of the Lord IS LIKE A TREE PLANTED by the streams of living water.
11
THIS TREE BRINGS FORTH an abundance of fruit in its season, A TREE WHOSE LEAF does not wither and fall away. THE WAYS OF THE MAN WHO SEEKS after the Lord will flourish. THIS IS NOT THE WAY IT IS FOR MEN who continually sin against God. SUCH MEN ARE LIKE THE CHAFF which the wind blows away.
12
UNGODLY MEN WILL NOT FIND FAVOR
in God’s judgment, NOR WILL SUCH MEN JOIN in the assembly of the righteous. THE WAYS OF MEN WHO ARE HATEFUL will certainly perish, BUT THE LORD WILL BLESS THE WAYS of God-honoring men THROUGHOUT ALL ETERNITY.

(Praising God for the forgiveness of our sins)
‘FIND US FAITHFUL’ (Praising God for the forgiveness of our sins) O may all who come behind us find us faithful; May the fire of our devotion light their way. May the footprints that we leave, lead them to believe, And the lives we live inspire them to obey. O may all who come behind us find us faithful.

Read by Elder Roy Palk, J.D.
THE HEBREW SCRIPTURE DEUTERONOMY 6:1-9 Read by Elder Roy Palk, J.D. Now this is the commandment--the statutes and the ordinances--that the LORD your God charged me to teach you to observe in the land that you are about to cross into and occupy, so that you and your children and your children's children may fear the LORD your God all the days of your life. Keep all his decrees and his commandments that I am commanding you, so that your days may be long.
25
Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe them diligently, so that it may go well with you, and so that you may multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Hear, O Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD alone. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
26
Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

DEUTERONOMY 6:4-7 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments I give you today are to be upon your hearts. IMPRESS THEM ON YOUR CHILDREN. Talk about these commandments when you sit at home, when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
30
The most important thing we can teach our children and grandchildren is to put God first in their lives, and THAT begins with an example from parents and grand-parents.
31
From Psalm Hide not the truths of God from your children; Tell the next generation about your expectations and about presence of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. THERE IS NO MOLDING WITHOUT MODELING.
