The training and disciplining by words: Encouragement and reproof, instruction and warning A caution or counsel against behavior or a course of action Christ-like admonitions center on spiritual and eternal concerns for others’ good

Instructive warnings (Col. 1:28):
Paul’s work was often strongly admonitory. 1 Corinthians 4:14; Acts 20:31 Old Testament stories have been written to admonish us (1 Cor. 10:6, 11). Spiritual songs are also to put into our minds warnings based upon Christ’s word (Col. 3:16).

Christians are to exercise admonitions.
Dads admonish your children (Eph. 6:4). WARN! Brethren’s goodness includes ability to admonish (Rom. 15:14). Discipline is admonishment (1 Thess. 5:14; 2 Thess. 3:14-15; Tit. 3:10).

Christians are to exercise admonitions.
Use wisdom and good judgment: Speak the truth in love (Eph. 4:15) Judge righteously (John 7:24) Restore in the spirit of gentleness considering yourself (Gal. 6:1)

Receive admonition with a proper spirit:
Keep a proper attitude toward those who admonish you (2 Thess. 5:12-13). Appreciate… Esteem highly… For their admonitions too! Obey and submit (Heb. 13:17). Listen with openness, humility, courage and eagerness to act on the truth.
