2 Why Did They Came To New France?
A long time ago in the year of 1660 the Iroquois lived in New York, but they were then forced by the European to move to Canada. At first the Iroquois resisted on going, but they knew they had no choice but to leave.

3 What Did They Contributed To Their Community Of New France?
*The Iroquois hunted to provide food for the community * They made clothing out of fur and other material * They invented lacrosse * They were farmers * And much more

4 What Were The Challenges They Faced?
Champlain made alliances with the Huron, Algonquin and the Etchemin. These tribes demanded that Champlain help them in their war with 9 soldiers, and 300 natives to explore the riviere des Iroquois. The Iroquois joined the English on August 25th, Iroquois attacked Lachine, they burned 50 to 80 houses, 24 settlers were killed and over 90 people were except prisoners. In the area of Ticonderoga Champlain and his party encountered a group of Iroquois. A battle began the next day.

5 What Legacy Did The Iroquois Leave Behind?
If it wasn’t for the Iroquois there would be no such thing as lacrosse. They left behind clothing, tools and some houses There is still Iroquois people and their native language.

7 INTERESTING FACTS! The Iroquois were first located in North eastern Woodlands. They would live in long houses in their own little village. Most Iroquois people speak English, but elders prefer to speak their own native language. They had 6 different languages they could speak. The Iroquois were also interested in their own kind of music. Their most important instrument were the drums. Young boys were not allowed to hunt with the men, only if they had already caught a animal of their own. Believe it or not, but the women were actually more powerful then the men. The woman got to choose who was the chief of their tribe.
