1. Water 2:2 The single most abundant compound in most living things.
The average amount of water in the human body is about 65%.

So when the electron is rotating in and out of the hydrogen atom and the oxygen atoms it releases a slight positive charge.

A. Water molecules are attracted to each other because the negative region is attracted to the positive region on the molecule.
B. Even though this characteristics creates great clinging power hydrogen bonds are very weak and the bonds break easily.

A. Attraction between un-like substances.
ex. Capillary action – one of the forces that draws water out of the roots of plants and up the stems and leaves.
