2 Brainstorm a Super Hero based on your strength
Coordinator: Self-Directed Learner that organizes the team, makes timelines, values team members and delegates tasks. Team Worker: Supports the team by being a good collaborator, and willing to do what needs to be done for the team.. Creative: Divergent thinker who likes to come up with ideas, enjoys making things, and designing presentations. Communicator: Good at researching, communicating what they have learned, and comfortable presenting to the class. Techie: Likes using technology such as Powerpoint, surveys, and Google Forms, and exploring new apps.

4 How to Draw a Super Hero!

5 Step 1: plan your composition
Decide where you want to your name, theme, and Kryptonite. Block in lightly with pencil. Start with a stick figure - what pose will your hero take? Re-arrange things that don’t work. 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.

6 Step 2: Draw Face and torso
Begin with the face, using the cross as a guide. Draw eyes, nose, mouth, ears Add hair Block out the torso adding a circle or oval for your superheroes symbol Add details: helmet, mask, cape. 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.

7 Step 3: Draw arms & hands Decide if your superhero is muscular or slim. Sketch in lightly with pencil. Add hands or gloves Block in props that your hero might be holding. 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.

8 Step 4: Draw waist & Legs Define the waist with a belt or shirt.
Add legs and shoes following the lines of your stick figure. 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.

9 Step 5: Emphasize text Add interest to your name by exaggerating your text. Make sure your theme text fits and add a shape around it. 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.

10 Step 6: finalize your sketch
Add more details to fill the page. Trace your sketch with a fine line marker. Erase your pencil lines with a good quality eraser. Color in your design for extra “POW!” 2nd Day - students will work independently to complete their cartoon.
