“Closed” Encounters

2. You are going to write with your eyes closed
You are going to write with your eyes closed. You may find it helpful to use your other hand to support/guide your movement down the page. There will be no visible lines on the page to make it easier for you.

3. Now close your eyes and visualize either a place or a person
Now close your eyes and visualize either a place or a person. Try to keep writing without stopping and DO NOT worry about neatness.

4. Start with: “I don’t see why…”

5. Take the next step…
Choose one sentence or part of a sentence from what you wrote. Write this on the top of your other sheet of paper. Give this to the person on your right. This will be his or her “story starter.” Now begin writing again…
