2 FIGURE 1 Case 1. The dysgerminoma is shown by the image study and both operative and gross pathologic pictures. (A) This mid-sagittal view of T2-weighted MRI revealed one large solid pelvic mass with well-defined margins that suggested adnexal tumor. The vaginal canal can be identified as the white line that clearly (arrowhead) with its upper tip denotes the blind-end urovaginal pouch that was connected to the urorectal septum (arrow). Neither cervix nor uterus structure can be seen. B = bladder; M = pelvic mass; PS = pubic symphysis; R = rectum. (B) The right ovary reveals a multinodular tumor mass with an intact, smooth, and glistening surface. (C) The tumor cells (arrows) are characterized by round to oval, vesicular nuclei, prominent nucleoli, and abundant clear cytoplasm with accompanied lymphocytic infiltrates. (Hematoxylin and eosin staining; original magnification, ×400). Chen. Monozygotic twins with Swyer syndrome. Fertil Steril 2006.
