A Note from the Teacher
What’s Happening in...
Reading – This week we read books about butterflies. We discussed the life cycle of a butterfly. We wrote down the facts that we learned. We also continued working on beginning blends to become fluent readers.
Sight Words – were, an, now
Math – This week we worked on 2D and 3D shapes. We discussed there attributes and where they are in our real life. We also continued working on solving addition/subtraction problems, along with how to use a number line to solve equations.
Please sign and return field trip permission slips. The California Woods field trip cost $11.00 per student. The Firehouse field trip is free.
I will be contacting the 2 chaperones for the California Woods field trip. I appreciate all the volunteers! I wish I could take you all but 2 is the limit. Don’t forget to volunteer to be a chaperone for the zoo field trip that is coming up!
If your child has started AR please continue having them read their baggy books. They may also read books from home, check out the to see if it has a corresponding quiz. If it does, send it in!
If you have not already, have your student sign into Moby Max. This website is a great tool to build math and reading fluency. Please contact me if you misplaced or lost the login and I will send home a new one.
