Tapestry is a secure online Learning Journal to record photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, to build up a record of your child's experiences during their time with us.
Its interactive – you can add observations as a parent and help us celebrate the things they achieve.
We use Tapestry very organically. We don’t set a target of how many observations parents will receive. One week they might come daily and then nothing for 2 weeks.

It’s very secure – every adult has a log in so everything is tracked. Management have notification of every action they undertake and only staff that are DBS checked have a log in.
Here at Eltham C of E we also use Tapestry to assess the children’s learning. Under each observation, where appropriate, we will give you an indication of where your child is within there age range and for what area of their learning they are achieving in.
Tapestry worked so well last year that we have extended its use into the first term of Year 1.

If your child has a break through with something at home we would love you to share.
Sometimes our staff might post suggestions of things you might want to do at home for example when working on time we might say “Next week we are looking at time. Can you show us some special times of your day?”
