2 SAYING AMEN I. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? A. Firm, trustworthy, surely. B. An expression of support and agreement. II. WHEN SAY IT? A. After a prayer (Mt. 6:13). B. After a clear or important statement of Truth (Rom. 1:25). C. When something is fervently agreed to or desired (Rom. 15:33). D. Only when you understand what is said (1 Cor. 14:16).

3 AN APPROPRIATE AMEN CAN BE ENCOURAGING & EDIFYING.
SAYING AMEN III. WHAT IT DOES… A. Encourages those who speak Truth. B. Helps listeners focus attention on important Truths. C. Helps you be an active listener. IV. WHY DO SOME NOT DO IT? A. To avoid disruption (1 Cor. 14:40). B. Not paying attention. C. Shy. AN APPROPRIATE AMEN CAN BE ENCOURAGING & EDIFYING.
