Mission NPI is an institution mandated by Government, Labour, Business and Civil Society to enhance productivity in order to contribute to Africa's socio-economic development and competitiveness.

Positioning Strategy Reposition the NPI as the pre-eminent enabler of productivity in South Africa with a national mandate. Align NPI goals with national priorities of economic growth, job creation, increased investment and poverty alleviation in collaboration with key strategic partners. Locate productivity centrally in all key debates, conversations and planning of national initiatives (papers, policy, etc.) designed to meet government goals.
