Why do people choose to leave their nation of birth? What would motivate you personally to leave your country? Do you know any immigrants to the US? Why did they choose to move to the US? Do you know any expatriates (people who left the US for other countries)? Why did they choose to leave the US?

Create a T chart on the board that the students help create, writing one in their notes as well, using push and pull factors of TODAY
