Structures that occur when it is possible to write two or more valid electron dot formulas that have the same number of electron pairs O O O

Bond Polarity If one end on a molecule is more negative than the other the molecule is polar H-Cl O H H

Electric Field If polar molecules are placed in an electric field, the negative ends will orient themselves toward the positive plate
