Using the map of Texas template, draw, describe and illustrate the following items (all illustrations and background must be colored):
Texas Civil War Battle Sites – Draw a symbol to represent a battle site (such as ). Label the location of five the battle sites on the map. Write the name of the battle and a description of the battle in the corresponding box. (30 pts)
Cotton Trading Routes – draw a symbol to represent cotton trade and draw the cotton trading routes on the map. Write a description of the trading routes in the box. (10 pts)
Railroads – draw a symbol to represent the railroads and draw the railroad routes on the map. (5 pts)
Frontier lines of Defense – draw the frontier line of defense on the map and write a description in the corresponding box.(10 pts)
Choose five “Civil War Sites in Texas” from the Brochure link on my website and complete the following: (30 pts)
Describe the site in the appropriate box.
Draw an illustration to represent the site on the back of the map. Label it with the site name.
Locate and label the site on the map with the corresponding letter from the box.
