PORTFOLIO FOR GRADUATES
LUCA School of Arts is launching a platform for its graduating students on which they can showcase their work. Not only are we creating a portfolio website, we are also giving you the opportunity to have your work printed on a postcard. 
Both platforms give you the possibility to showcase yourself, your work but also your blog, LinkedIn profile, etc. Together they form an ideal business card for you.  
LUCA will share these pages with more than thirty thousand people from the cultural sector. These include many potential future employers.
LUCA can show prospective students how creative our graduates are.
You can now create your portfolio page. Once you have collected all the information you want to share, this will only take 10 minutes of your time.
The portfolio website will be launched externally on 15 June 2018.

2. WHAT? INTRO Profile picture
Text: a short description of who you are, what you do and more about your graduation work
Contact details: a personal website, address, telephone number, LinkedIn…
Downloads: your thesis, CV…
Image gallery: to show more images of your graduation work
Film clips: embedded from YouTube or Vimeo
Sound clips: embedded from Soundcloud
RSS Feed from your blog

3. STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR PAGE CONTENT
Choose a profile picture for your portfolio page
You can choose an image of your graduation work, or a photo of yourself. If you do not include an image, a red box with your name in it will appear on your portfolio page. If you include an image, this red box will be replaced by your chosen image with your name underneath.
Construction and Music students can also include a photo of themselves or an image they find inspiring.
Prepare your profile text
150 words about yourself
150 words about your thesis
Select images of your graduation work for the image gallery
Choose 5 to 10 images of your graduation work. This is not obligatory for Music students.
Save the images as high resolution jpegs, no wider than 600 pixels, max. 500 KB

4. STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR PAGE CONTENT
Film clips
You can share a short film or trailer on your portfolio page. Of course, this is not obligatory.
First you need to post the film on your YouTube or Vimeo account.
Sound clips
You can share music clips on your portfolio page. Of course, this is not obligatory.
First you need to post the music clip on your Soundcloud account.
Contact details
It’s a good idea to prepare these in advance: a personal website, address, telephone number, LinkedIn…
Downloads
If you wish to post your thesis, CV or other documents as downloadable files, the best format to choose is PDF.

5. Visit www.luca-arts.be/user
STEP 2: log in

Log in with your Student number en personal password
 A black ribbon then appears at the top of the screen

Click <Dashboard> in the black ribbon
In the black ribbon there is tag called Dashboard. Click on it and you will find your page. 
Afterwards click on <Bewerken> on the right hand side

<EDIT> The button is located on the top right of the page
Can’t find the EDIT button? Then your name, course and campus to We will solve this for you as fast as possible.

8. Add your portfolio details

Add your portfolio details
Name: Enter your name
Title: Enter the title of your graduation work if there is one.
Profile image: Upload your profile image if there is one.
If you do not upload an image here, your name will appear in a red box
Indicate whether your profile image is portrait or landscape format
Links: These are your most important contact details. Enter your address, plus optionally your blog, LinkedIn profile…

9. Add your portfolio text

Here you add a text about yourself and your graduation project. You can format the text as desired.
Hyperlinks and addresses: select the text and click on the links icon
Summary/lists: select the text and click on the bullet points icon
Text in bold: select the text and click on the B icon
Add titles: click on <layout> and select Heading 3

Providing extra material or documentation helps to present your graduation work in an optimal way. This can be done by:
Embedding film clips
Embedding sound clips
Uploading downloadable files (PDFs)
Uploading an image gallery

Copy the URL of your film
For the URL of a YouTube film clip, click on this icon in YouTube.
For the URL of a Vimeo film clip, click on this icon in Vimeo.
Paste the URL in the box under <Video URL>

Under Images click on <select files>
Select one or more files (.jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif) you want to upload
Click on <upload>
You can add image captions if you wish

Check your portfolio page: Carefully read the text for errors, make sure all links and downloads are working, and check if all film and music clips play correctly.
Mistakes on your page? Your account remains active, so you can at any moment correct or update your page. Simply use the same procedure as described here.
