5 W 2.2 - Participation in IEEE 802 Meetings
November 2016 doc.: ec EC July 2017 W Participation in IEEE 802 Meetings All participation in in any IEEE 802 meeting (Sponsor, Sponsor subgroup, Working Group, Working Group subgroup, etc.) is on an individual basis. •     Participants in the IEEE standards development individual process shall act based on their qualifications and experience. ( section 5.2.1) •    IEEE 802 Working Group membership is by individual; “Working Group members shall participate in the consensus process in a manner consistent with their professional expert opinion as individuals, and not as organizational representatives”. ( section 4.2.1) You have an obligation to act and vote as an individual and not under the direction of any other individual or group. Your obligation to act and vote as an individual applies in all cases, regardless of any external commitments, agreements, contracts, or orders. You shall not direct the actions or votes of any other member of an IEEE 802 Working Group or retaliate against any other member for their actions or votes within IEEE 802 Working Group meetings, see section and section 3.4.1, list item x By participating in IEEE 802 meetings, you accept these requirements. July 2017 F2.4 Administrative Reminders Next Full WG Session starts: 1st CAC telecon – at noon ET (~ -5 weeks) Initial objectives/agendas should be uploaded as mentor documents (.ppt format) or send to chair (.xls tab format) before the telecon. Meeting date set to meet 30-day agenda submission deadline. 2nd CAC telecon – Thu at noon ET (~ -1 week) Avoids , which is a public holiday in the USA Snapshots to be send to Dorothy Stanley before this telecon. July 2017 M EC and IEEE-SA Standards Board decisions The EC Approved (6 June telecon) and ai comment responses to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 802.11aj D5.0 and ak D4.0 for information to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 & ai press release ( ) Update to IEEE SA standards board on TGax ec While the WG chair moved this in the EC, the source of this document is the IEEE 802 chair. The WG officers contributed to it. Note, it was determined that no EC approval was necessary to liaise the PDED liaison to ETSI BRAN (11-17/634r5), so this was sent on the 7th June without EC approval.
