Ex. Even though Harry Potter may have a better plot, it is very difficult to connect emotionally with the characters because they are constantly battling evil, where Twilight is a love story.

Ex. Harry Potter falls short because of its appeal to ages 5-15, where Twilight captures the older demographic that can afford to buy the books on their own.

6. Five Steps Step Five: Connect with the reader on some emotional level
Ex. Though Harry Potter has a fantastical plot, Twilight’s passion and compassion for the Vamps an the Wolves conveys feelings that we can all connect with on an emotional level.
