6 Independent Reading Choose a text you are interested in. Read the text for understanding. Summarize the text in your own words (6-8 sentences) Complete the “Try This” Activity.

7 Creative Writing Task 1 – Continue your stories
Continue your story. You will need it complete by the end of this week’s rotation and the following task: Task 2: Select 4 parts of your story to illustrate. Complete a draft using the illustration template at the front of the class. The number of drafts will depend on how many it takes to get to or above grade level. Could be 2, could be 10 … you know that you decide by your effort. These pictures will be scanned into your stories when they are typed and published. Homework Task: Once your story is complete it must be typed at home at ed to Mr. W. so we can being layout and final publishing in school. Typed stories are Due Monday October 19th.

9 Computers 1 2 3 4 5 Task – The Greatest Canadian Prime Minister
You have had a chance to research some of the greatest PMs in Canadian history. Now you and your partner will pick the one you think is the greatest ever. Partner up within your group and share a desktop computer. You will need to log on using your account. Create a poster using Word or Publisher that displays your choice and your evidence that they are the greatest of all time. Get creative. Find interesting pictures that back up your ideas. Do you have to use MacLean’s top 5? NO!!!!! If you want to choose another PM and you can back up your choice with solid evidence go for it! Wilfrid Laurier Liberal John A.
