明英宗（ ）was Zhu Di’s grandson and became the sixth emperor of Ming Dynasty when he was only 9.
明英宗 liked Wang Zhen, an eunuch who was good at pleasing him very much and appointed him an important position. Gradually all power went to Wang Zhen.
In 1449, a Mongolian tribe attacked Ming and 明英宗 was captured.

4. 景帝和于谦
After明英宗 was captured, his mother and a senior general, Yu Qian agreed that the country needed an emperor, so they helped his younger brother, 景帝 become the new one.
Yu Qian defeated the Mongolians finally, who also released明英宗 later.明英宗 returned to Beijing, but he was very unhappy that his younger brother was now the emperor and he wasn’t any more. He worked with his people and got the throne back when his younger brother was sick. Because Yu Qian helped景帝 become the new emperor, he was killed soon after that.
