2 Violent vocabulary: Guerra means war. Hay una guerra en Iraq. There is a war in Iraq. Paz means peace. El mundo necesita paz. The world needs peace. Luchar means to fight in a war. Mi papá luchó en Vietnam My dad fought in Vietnam. Pelearse means to fight between two people. Los basquetbolistas se pelearon con los aficionados. The basketball players fought with the fans.

3 Military Vocabulary: Ejército means army. Los soldados forman el ejército. Soldiers make up the army. Marina means navy. Los marineros forman la marina. Sailors make up the navy. Fuerza Aérea means air force. Los aviadores forman la fuerza aérea. Aviators make up the air force. Militar is an adjective that describes anything military. El F-16 es un avión militar. The F-16 is a military airplane.
