1. When to use Context Source in workflow
If we need to convert a document from a workflow task into a data stream and route it to a target application then a Context Target Activity is required in the process flow after the workflow task activity. Set the Document Repository of the Context Source to ‘true’ and give a placeholder file name in the File Name property. Context Source acts as a data stream generator.

A Context Source is required only when an external application needs to process the data in the file.
If the document is being attached from within a workflow task and needs to be routed to another Workflow
task without sending it to a backend application for processing then Context Source is not required.
