Hyatt Regency is a 5-star luxury hotel chain.They came up with 206 guest rooms including 17 Regency suites, flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, Regency ballroom for conference, Party & marriage hall with High level of craftsmanship. All 206 guest rooms including meeting spaces, conference rooms, marriage hall are constructed with international standard acoustic comfort & fire safety. 122mm Gyproc Drywall systems were used in guest rooms delivering 52db of acoustic insulation and 60 minutes of fire rating. Gyproc Moisture resistance & fibre cement board was used in all the wet area application. 102mm Shaft wall system were used for partition.

Key challenges Drywall is a new concept for T2 Cities in India and most partitions and walls are done using conventional brick and masonry. Driving the acceptance of Drywall as a viable construction option and utilizing the same in bringing innovation in the Design and execution part was a key achievement. Drywall with 1 hr & 2 hr fire rating and STC of 52dB level was achieved which is inline with international standards. Wet area being highly humid environment, Gyproc FCB were used and Shaft wall with 2hr Fire rating, Core Board, FR and FRMR boards was used to overcome the challenge. On time completion was another challenge for the project which was achieved through careful planning of resources – man and material, as well as usage of DW tools for improved productivity.
