3 Team Objectives Review new SAT test to determine cut score thresholds for admission, and which students are required to take a placement test Review new SAT data to determine if sub-scores could serve as placement data (and bypass Accuplacer for writing & reading placements – math will use ALEKS for all student placement regardless of SAT scores)

4 Recommendation for AGC Vote:
Provide Cut Score team the authority to review SAT scores, validity, and concordance findings (published May 2016), and set cut scores for students who begin applying in September 2016 for fall 2017 admission and later

5 Next Steps: Ongoing, the committee plans to reconvene in 2016-17 to:
Review outcomes of GRCC’s new SAT cut scores determine any further needed changes Review national data and findings to determine any further needed changes Determine if SAT data may be used for placement purposes (reading/writing)
