ADA Diabetes-On-Demand & ADA Diabetes Go-to-Guide™
The American Diabetes Association in collaboration with Krames Staywell is providing this complete suite of self-management and curriculum resources at no charge to all ADA-Recognized Program staff. These resources include web-based tools, print, and interactive Go-to-Guides™ you can use with your patients. These patient resources were created by Krames Patient Education in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association and sponsored by Merck via their Journey for Control Program. Krames Staywell worked with health care providers, researchers and diabetes educators to select the most appropriate and helpful information for diabetes self-management, presented in reader-friendly format. Arranged in folders for easy, print on-demand access to support your busy practice these tools are accessible from any computer, tablet, or smart-device with internet access. The information is consistent with all ADA-approved educational content. The next few slides will guide you through the resources and provide linkes to additional support as you incorporate these innovative self-help tools into your practice. ADA Living Well with Diabetes Go-To-Guide™ Navigation and Special Features Easy to read, listen, watch, and learn Easy to Navigate Easy to share Now that you have an overview of the ADA Diabetes Go-To-Guide™ functions, take a moment to explore how easy it is to use the guide. Zoom functions: an be performed by clicking an of the icons in the tool bar. The plus(+) magnifying glass zooms in, the minus (-) zooms out and the plain magnifying glass returns your view to a whole page view. Zooming in and out can also be performed by right-clicking the mouse in the area of the publication you want to enlarge. Each of three clicks will enable three different levels of zoom. Navigation Arrows: Clicking single arrows take you forward or back through the online publication, page by page. Double arrows take you directly to the front cover(First page) or back cover (last page). Jump-to-Page: Jump to any page in the online publication by entering the page number in this box directly. Hit “enter” (or return) on your keyboard to complete the action. Direct Search: From the search box in the Flip Page Reader Menu, search for any keyword or phrase in the document. Results will appear with the keywords ranked in context. Clicking on any page thumbnail (preview) will take you directly to that page in the online publication-with the keywords already highlighted on the page. Manual Navigation: Manually turn pages with your mouse, just like you would do with the pages of a real publication. Just click the corner with the mouse, hold to grab, then turn the page. Clicking a page corner will also turn the pages more easily. Keyboard Navigation: Turn pages using the arrow keys on your keyboard. -Right and left arrow keys flip the pages forward and back, respectively -Up and down arrow keys take you directly to the front cover (first page) or the back cover (last Page). Printing: Print any page, section or the entire online publication quickly while keeping the same look as it appears to you in the online version. The next two slides include instructions on how to login from any computer with Internet access or create a shortcut from your desktop… This shortcut is created the same way as the intranet link, except for the creation of an icon on your desktop. To create a shortcut on your desktop: 1. Go to Windows Desktop 2. Right Click on Desktop – Choose New/Shortcut 3. Copy and Paste the url path below 4. Click NEXT.
