4. Stereotypes??? Don’t Call Penalties at the End of the Game
Don’t Have an impact on the outcome of the game.

5. 1st Quarter
1st Call of the Game Sets the Tone. If your first call is a big/hard foul then that is what you call all game. If it is a “ticky tacky” foul then that is what you call.
Don’t Wait Until the 4th Quarter to enforce a rule.

6. 3rd to 4th Quarter
Every major stoppage use that time to check-in with partner as to flow of game.

7. Competitive/Playoff Game
Do NOT Change the way your calling the game!
Call the Fouls that need to be Called
Be in the Correct Possession
Be Ready for the Stall

8. Timeouts
KNOW the situation – who has them and who will likely use them
Be close to a coach when he is likely going to call one
Let the coaches know you are there if they need one

9. Faceoff Have your ears ready for a timeout
Know which coach is likely to use a timeout
Think about having far side official conduct faceoff

10. OVERTIME Know the Rules Expect the timeout
Don’t Change the way you have been calling game
If there is a foul, CALL it.
