9 Registering the tag with the app
After scanning the code, the app starts a registration process: it communicates with the tag to test its functionality and to ensure it is owned by the user. The app uses a bar code printed on the tag package to acquire specific information to register it.

10 REPORTING STOLEN ITEMS with the app
In case of theft the user can report it through the app to the Operation Centre.

11 LOCATING STOLEN ITEMS with the app
If the stolen tag is in the list, a short message appears about sending a tag sighting report to the Operation Centre in 10 second intervals. In case a theft is reported by the Operation Centre, the app scans for active Bluetooth tags nearby and shows the discovered ones in a list.

13 Viewing and reporting incident info with the app
The user can also report on the incident to the Operation Centre. All reported incidents in a given area are shown on the map or in a list. Incident info can also be viewed with augmented reality features.

15 Finding a safe way out The app shows the way out through augmented reality features. The app shows the safest route to the selected location. In case of emergency the user can select a “safe harbour” among predefined categories.

17 Looking for witnesses Through the app the user can send a “call for witness” request to the City.Risks community, including text description and pictures. The app allows to get in contact by chat with other community members.
