Homework: * Folk Lore Writing Contest for St. Agnes 6th grade  ) Select which type of Folk Lore story you will write ) Complete a pre-write (brainstorm ideas/outline) Pre-write is due Monday, Oct. 22, BOC Must show instructor your pre-write, but you keep it ) Folk Lore Tale is due October 24, BOC Assignments due: * TAPP 2 [One QW from #7 to #18—polished to perfection] No late work accepted—we read them in class today.

2 Lesson Goal: Demonstrate communication skills and social listening skills by sharing TAPP pieces with the class. Outcomes: Be able to . . . Demonstrate your ability to write, edit, proof, and polish one of your Quick Writes. Present your TAPP piece by reading it aloud to the class. Demonstrate your social skills by listening attentively and supportively to student speakers.

3 Starter Today some of you will share a Quick Write of your choice as a polished TAPP (Transform A Paragraph into a Paper) by reading it aloud to the class. Meanwhile, all of you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your social skills as attentive, supportive listeners. Let’s use our seating arrangement to determine the order in which you will read, and we’ll do it like a giant “S.”
