Foundation One …God’s people are precious people to Him so they had better be to you Foundation two …if you say ‘yes’ to leadership service, you become Biblically accountable Foundation three …The Bible tells you how to be a ‘leader’

ACTS 20 [28] Keep watch over yourselves, and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood

Hebrews 13 [17] Obey your leaders and submit to their authority.
They keep watch over you as men who must give an account.

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you , but being examples to the flock. …….I have seen the other side of leadership…….

Getting your life in order 11
Prayer, Finances, debt, your marriage, family, etc Seek to keep growing in love, service and unity Learn to grow in submission and be eager and open to receive pastoral care Be a faithful example in your church life And be careful- you become ‘public property’ – even when buying groceries and you are a couple of thousand kilometres from home
