Peer Review of IRR Outline
Evaluate the outline you received by assigning a score of 2, 4 or 6 (Low, Medium, High) for the following categories: 1) Are the research question and perspective sufficiently narrow to allow a detailed, complex analysis or are they too broadly defined? 2) Does the outline include a variety of sources including academic sources? 3) High: Are a range of perspectives apparent in the outline? Low: Are the perspectives indistinguishable, or is there little evidence of multiple perspectives?

Citations & Bibliography for IRR
There is no required method for citing sources and compiling a bibliography for your IRR. However, if you struggled with citations in first semester and lost points due to your citation/bibliography method, I am recommending using the Chicago method of citations.
4
Recommended Citation Method - Chicago
1) Number each source that you use, starting with 1 and continuing up to your number of sources. 2) Number sources in the sequence they are used in your paper. 3) Indicate an in-text citation like this.1 Or another citation like this.2 Cite works at the end of each sentence.3 4) If you cite a source more than once, use a new number for each citation. 4
5
Recommended Works Cited Method
1) Compile your list of works cited at the end of your paper. 2) If you prefer, you can also list works cited as footnotes at the bottom of each page. 3) If a source is cited more than once, the subsequent citations only need to list the author’s name and an abbreviated title, not the entire reference. The Chicago method is used as a standard in most technological/scientific papers. The Rhino paper we looked at last week uses this method. This method eliminates the issue of what to include in the in-text parenthetical citation used by the MLA method (Lutze).

Upcoming Due Dates Tuesday, Jan. 29 – Beginning of class First Draft of IRR. This can be a hard copy or a shared document. This is the document you will share with your group to begin determining your group’s proposed solution to your research question.
