For 41 years (between 1931 and 1972) the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world There are 6,514 windows in the Empire State Building The building itself cost $24,718,000 to build, when the cost of the land is included this figure climbs to $40,948,900

3 The Empire State Building is a skyscraper in New York City, United States. It is 381 meters tall and has 103 floors. Many people were trying to make the world's tallest building, but the Empire State Building won. It was completed in 410 days. 3,400 worker are working in the Empire State Building! On Saturday, July 28, 1945, the B-25 Empire State Building crash started a fire. The building was not structurally compromised. 14 people were killed in the accident.
