1. 3.21 Teacher Education
Entire section was recently aligned with Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (OCTP) policy.
A. stresses that a minimum of 10 clock hours in direct contact with P-12 students for teacher education faculty AND deans is recommended.
B. makes reference to the Residency Year, so may have to be changed in the future.

2. 3.22 Teacher Professional Development and Residency Program
Residency year is currently on moratorium as directed by the legislature. We expect it will be examined for reconsideration in the 2012 session.

3. 3.23 Minority Teacher Recruitment Center
Although there may be some changes to existing practice and nomenclature, the mission of working with necessary constituents to develop quality teachers in our state will continue.
Delete entire section. (The legislature discontinued the Advisory Committee as a part of the Sunset Review process).
