2 Intro/Summary Welcome to EBSCO’s Basic Searching on NetLibrary tutorial. NetLibrary offers the most comprehensive collection of eBooks, eJournals and eAudiobooks available online. In this tutorial, we will look at conducting a search from the Basic Search screen of NetLibrary, as well as the using the result list and viewing an eBook or eJournal.

3 We’ll begin by conducting a basic search on global warming
We’ll begin by conducting a basic search on global warming. After typing your keyword(s) into the find field, refine your search by using the drop down menus on either side of the find field. Once you have made your selections, click Search.

4 A Result List is displayed
A Result List is displayed. Basic Search results will automatically include all types of eContent available to you. You may filter your results by eContent type using the links at the top of the list. The Basic Search box can be used to conduct another search from the current page and keeps track of your recent searches.

5 You may sort your results by rank, title, author, or date using the Sort by drop down menu.

6 You may view an eBook or eJournal or download an eAudiobook by clicking the View this eBook, View this eJournal, or Download this eAudiobook link below the listing. Clicking the Show Details link allows you to view citation information for each listing, check out and download eBooks and eJournals, and listen to previews of eAudiobooks.

7 To add a listing from your search results to your favorites, simply click the Add to Favorites link below the chosen search listing. You may access your Favorites at any time by clicking the Favorites and Notes link at the top right corner of the screen.

8 The Related Topics box at the right of the search results list provides links to searches related to your keyword(s). You may use the suggested searches to broaden your research. Click on a link to conduct the search.

9 When viewing an eBook or eJournal, you can navigate the content using the Table of Contents in the left panel. To search for terms within a specific eBook or eJournal, type keyword(s) into the Search this eContent box in the bottom of the left panel of the eBook or eJournal viewing window, then click Search.

10 Click on the Help link to view the complete online Help system.
