3. We live in a neighborhood ready and desperate for some great moves of God. The pictures and statistics paint a pretty bleak picture of the neighborhood, and the truth is, without Christ, the future is very bleak for our neighborhood.

5. We do a lot of street outreach
We do a lot of street outreach. We try to form relationships with addicts, let them know that when they're ready to take the first step, we're here for them.

6. We've helped set up a Recovery Ministry along with the House of Adonai.

7. Early after the start of our addictions ministry we noticed a need for housing for the people we worked with.
Through a series of miracles we were able to purchase and renovate a house.

8. I (Carisa) teach a Sunday School class. A class of girls
I (Carisa) teach a Sunday School class. A class of girls. Giggly, loud, silly, sometimes overly dramatic…girls. I love these girls.

9. Several are in pain, dealing with situations you could not even imagine. Will you pray for my girls? My current girls, my past girls, especially my lost girls.

10. Another outreach is the Reading Rocks summer reading program developed by our church. The purpose of this program is to encourage children in their academic success while also teaching them Christian values and Bible stories through the use of only Christian books.

11. We celebrate their success with various prizes along the way and a big celebration at the end of the summer. Will you pray for this year's Reading Rocks Program?

12. We look forward to the day when stories about God's amazing transformation of hearts, lives, and neighborhoods fill the evening news instead of all the hurt and need. There is a lot of work to be done....

13. God has not abandoned this city or its people. God is doing AMAZING
things in this neighborhood...
