Shadowed an attending physician on several occasions
Watched his team attempt to resuscitate a patient
Observed inside the small room while his team put a chest tube into a patient with a collapsed lung
Saw him do an ultrasound on a patient
Watched as he dealt with a violent patient refusing to take medicine to calm down
Looked on as another doctor put a dislocated shoulder back into place
Shadowed a resident
Watched him test the pressure of a 94 year old woman’s eye
Shadowed a nurse

14. Lessons Learned Good communication is invaluable
Organization makes almost everything easier
Not everyone responds to change the same way
“If it’s not broken, [you] don’t [have to] fix it”… but you can probably improve it
