Policies Transporting Chemicals
Containers:
Secondary containment for all volumes
Use cart >1 containers, >4 L
CEMS: No buckets with wire handles
CHEM: Wide cart ≥4 L, all hazardous materials
PPE or no PPE:
Should not need PPE when transporting if packaged correctly. Each lab should designate buckets as gloved or glove-free
Could bring lab coat, gloves, adsorbent cloths
Situational Awareness:
Be aware of doors
Go slowly around corners
Changes in flooring/bumps
