FIGURE 1 An 81-year-old man presented with a persistent cough. Chest computed tomography revealed a solitary pulmonary lesion of 29 mm in largest diameter in segment B4 of the right lung (A, B). The endobronchial ultrasonography miniprobe within (C) and adjacent to (D) the lesion visualized a hypoechoic nodule surrounded by a strong reflected interface. Large cell lung carcinoma was diagnosed on transbronchial biopsy.
