First part of you introduction of speech. Get the attention of the audience. Refer to the Attention getter list that I handed to you. Which attention getter makes sense for your speech? Rhetorical question? A story?

3. Introduction and thesis
What are you going to talk about?
Three Point thesis
After your attention getter, let the audience know what you will be talking about. You have their attention, now tell them what you are going to talk about in an order that makes sense
For convenience, break your topic down into three sections. This will mimic the five paragraph essay format.
Example: England has natural resources that make it a unique place. England has ____, _____, and ______ .

4. Main Points
Main Point 1 : Details Main Point 2: Details Main Point 3: Details

5. Conclusion
Sum of what you said in your speech. What do you want people to leave knowing? How do you leave a lasting impression.
Make a closing statement
