2 The Great Commission Work of our church for the next year

3 The Great Commission Work of our church for the next year
Is this just a Baptist version of name it and claim it or “blab it and grab it”?

4 Mat 17:20  And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

5 Mat 17:14-21  When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,  15  "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.  16  "I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him."  17  And Jesus answered and said, "You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me."

6 18  And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.  19  Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not drive it out?"  20  And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.  21  ["But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."]

7 Mat 21:18-22  Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry.  19  Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He said to it, "No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you." And at once the fig tree withered.  20  Seeing this, the disciples were amazed and asked, "How did the fig tree wither all at once?"

8 21  And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen.  22  "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

9 1Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

10 1Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. This concept of “mountain-moving faith” became a part of the language and culture of the early church. It needs to be a part of your language and the culture of our church also.

11 Joh 14:12  "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

12 Greater works then Jesus?
Joh 14:12  "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Greater works then Jesus?

Joh 14:12  "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Greater works then Jesus? How is that possible?

14 John 16:7  "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

15 Not greater in power, but greater in scope
John 16:7  "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. Not greater in power, but greater in scope

16 The scope of missions: Act 1:8-9  but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."  9  And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

18 Mat 17:20b …if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

19 Heb 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

20 Mar 11:22-24 And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God
Mar 11:22-24  And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God.  23  "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.  24  "Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

21 Joh 15:7  "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

22 Jas 4:2-3 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder
Jas 4:2-3  You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.  3  You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

23 Jas 1:5-7  But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  6  But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.  7  For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,

24 Jas 1:22  But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

25 Heb 4:2  For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.

26 Rom 8:32  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
