Feedback on three options for implementation of the test
The purpose of the test is to increase the credibility of the simulation based approach, this objective is not met with option 1 which therefore is a waste of resources.
Considering a) the technical complexity of testing, b) the sensitivity of the input data, c) the possibility to pursue further actions and d) the possibility to request help from the OEM, ACEA recommends option 2. It should be investigated if competent national authorities could also be eligible testing bodies.
The test procedure should be described in an EN standard.
