November 21st – Data Tables: This webinar will focus on tagging simple and complex tables using the Touch Up Reading Order Table Editor tool.
December 7th – Forms: Participants will learn how to create accessible text fields, checkboxes and radio buttons. We will also discuss adding labels and best practices for form controls.
December 21st – Page Structure: Participants will learn how to review and edit role mappings for custom styles, use correct heading structure, and correctly tag changes in natural language.
January 4th – Accessibility Checker: We will demonstrate how to use the PDF Action Wizard as well as the PDF Full Check tool. Participants will learn how to analyze results of an accessibility full check in order to create an accessible PDF document.

Add Alt text in the Tags Tree or the Accessibility Tools in the Task Pane

Must be present to communicate the meaning of images to users of assistive technologies and text-only browsers.
Should be short and concise
Should describe the purpose of the non-text element— not necessarily the element itself
Purely decorative images should be tagged as artifacts and not given alternative text

Ensure decorative images are tagged as artifacts
Ensure characters map to Unicode values
Assistive technologies may not properly render characters which are present in documents that do not have a Unicode equivalent
Most notably, fonts and characters that are not present in the Unicode character set may not be pronounced properly
Ensure that all characters define a valid non-custom character set mapping and are present in the Unicode character set
Do not use fonts such as Wingdings or other ASCII fonts that do not have a mapping to Unicode characters
