Mrs. House’s Neighborhood February 13-17, 2017 3rd Grade WEEKLY SKILLS
Dear Parents, I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. I also hope your child is making a lot of progress on their Black History project. These are due in two weeks on Feb. 27. I am looking forward to seeing and hearing all about what your child has learned. We will not begin a new novel this week in Language Arts. We will focus on grammar skills and writing. In Math, we started rounding and will continue to work on that as well as graphs. In Social Studies, we will travel to Asia and in Science, we will begin Chapter 7 starting with Changing Motion. We will have a Valentine’s Treat in our classroom Tuesday. You are welcome to send in cards with your child. We ask that they only write the name of who they are from and be sure there are 20, so every child receives one. The Valentine’s Treat is not open to guests, but we are having Pastries with Parents Feb and hope to see a lot of families then. It will be from 7-7:45. Notes were sent home with your children last week. Please RSVP by Monday, Feb. 13. There is a $5 suggested donation per family at the door.
