Use-case notes User trigger could also be run as a ”one time” periodical trigger if more accuracy of dumping is needed. Triggers can be hardwired via the back-plane. So the event doesn’t have to be decoded by SW.

Prototype needs – DoD data parts
The needs of the prototype is basically to be able to trigger data through EPICS and retrieve the data. The IOC client in this case could be CS studio, matlab script or python script. Note: Periodic data requires triggers (BEAM_ON, RF_ON ..), EVR in the crate.
