How do you think Camilla felt when her classmates were laughing at her?
Think, Pair, Share Thinking back to the beginning of the book, how do you think Camilla felt when her classmates laughed at her? Think about it by yourself for a minute, and when you and the person next to you are ready, I’d like you to pair up and share your ideas. When you’re done sharing with one another, come up to the board and create a sticky note on our WebWhiteboard for us to discuss as a class. Real Time Board
4
What do respectful and disrespectful behaviors look like?
Think, Pair, Share There are a lot respectful and disrespectful behaviors toward Camilla throughout this story. Think individually about some of those behaviors, then pair up with the person next to you and share your ideas. Be prepared to defend your answer when we discuss as a class.

What do you think the moral of the story is?
In your readers response journal… Bread: Introduce the title and topic of the book Cheese: State your opinion of what the moral is Burger: Give examples to support your opinion (make sure to use linking words to connect your opinion and your examples/reasons) Bread: Provide a conclusion Moral What lesson is the author trying to teach me? Tells you what to think about the theme What do you think the moral of the story is? Remember that the moral is what lesson the author is trying to teach you; it tells you what to think about the theme. I have prepared a sandwich outline (since we have already been talking about food so much today!) that has the following parts: Bread: the bread of a sandwich is the first and last part, so in your writing, it will be the introduction and the conclusion. In your introduction, remember to include the title of the story and the topic. Cheese: the cheese is where you are going to state your opinion of what the moral of the story is. This is where you need to think about what lesson the author is trying to teach you. Burger: now you need to give examples to support your opinion. Make sure to use linking words to connect your thougths like we have been doing over the past couple of weeks. Any questions? *pass out sandwich writing outlines.
